SOUTH PART OF VIS ISLAND

We will meet you in Komiza or Vis town. From there we will depart in the early morning hours by van or jeep to Rukavac bay on the southern side of the island. Our kayak tour will start from Rukavac bay. We will paddle from Rukavac bay towards to Stiniva bay - the most beautiful and attractive bay of Vis island and the entire region. Stiniva was created a long time ago when a ceiling of a huge cave collapsed, forming Stiniva bay and the two huge cliffs that enclose the cove and form its entrance, once used to be the entrace to the cave. Stiniva bay has been protected as a Croatian natural monument since 1967.

You will have time to relax and swim in the crystal clean sea. We continue paddling towards Ruda bay and Silver beach. Our last stop is famous Green Cave which is located on the open-sea side of the islet Ravnik, known for the visible green beam of light that penetrates through the opening on its ceiling and refracts on the sea surface. Return to Rukavac, transfer to Komiza/Vis town.

Our kayaking trip will take you to enjoy untouched nature, explore secluded little beaches and little islets Barjaci. We will paddle from Komiza along the north-west cost of Vis island. On the way we will visit three nice beaches, hear the story of Manjarema fort, whose remnants bear witness to the well known naval battle, known as the Battle of Lissa, which took place in 1866. Our last stop is  Barjoska bay where you will have time to swim in the crystal sea and, if you want to keep away from the sun, the pine trees shade will protect you. You can also take a short walk, explore the bay and enjoy the scents of rosemary, lavender and other herbs – as you were probably not aware of the fact that there are over 1000 kinds of herbs growing on the island. Also, most of the scenes of the film Mamma Mia! Explore the beautiful and secluded beaches with fresh, potable water springs that even famoes Greta Garbo could not resist!

Departure from Komiža. Kayaking towards Kamenice beach- the cove named after the stone receptacles which collected potable water in the past. It's truly amazing that you can still taste fresh water which breaks out through greenish volcanic rocks. We continue towards Pizdica beach -known as the first public water supply system on the island built on this small beach, with many freshwater springs.

Here we will enjoy swimming in the crystal clear sea, with lush underwater life. Next stop is Velo žalo beach - a beautiful, isolated pebble beach accessible only from sea, with lots of shade and numeorus freshwater springs that provide freshness even in the hottest summer days.

Last stop is Kupinovac – this is, according to many, the most beautiful beach in the vicinity of Komiža. The beach is specific for its big white pebbles and big rock plateau where you can settle down on and sunbathe. It is so beautiful that not even Greta Garbo could resist it!
